Over the years, I've learned that people don't usually come to me because they need someone with all the answers. They come because they need another creative mind in the room—someone who will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, recognize patterns, and help make sense of ideas that feel exciting, complicated, or overwhelming.

How I Approach Creative Work
I've spent more than twenty years working as a theatre director, educator, designer, mentor, strategist, and creative collaborator. Along the way, each role has given me another lens through which to approach creative work.
What I've come to appreciate is that the medium is rarely the most important part.
Whether someone is developing a screenplay, preparing for an audition, directing a production, designing curriculum, or launching a creative project, the work often begins the same way:

A Little About Me
I'm Lauren Cuellar, founder of Throughline Studio.
I hold a BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Directing and have spent more than twenty-one years working at the intersection of theatre, education, creative leadership, and production.
Throughout my career I've directed productions, coached actors, designed lighting, built production systems, developed curriculum, mentored artists, consulted on creative projects, and helped individuals and organizations turn ambitious ideas into achievable plans.
Those experiences have shaped not only what I know—but how I think.
Today, Throughline Studio brings all of those experiences together in one place, offering thoughtful collaboration for artists, educators, organizations, and creative leaders looking for clarity, strategy, and a trusted thought partner.
